A Great Success
What did you do before New Beginnings?
I worked for the Huddersfield Giants for 20 years running their lottery. I had lots of happy years there, but the job was evolving, and I decided I wanted something new.
During the pandemic I started selling baby clothes online and then fayres when we were back to normal.
Out of the blue I was invited to do a pop-up shop in the wool shop in Swan House which I did once a month until the owner Veronica said she was leaving to expand to bigger premises.
I had never imagined having my own shop but it felt like fate that I should give it a go.
Why did you want it to be in Marsden?
Marsden can be quite busy at times with walkers and tourists and in the building is also a hairdressers and a leather shop which draw people in and there always seems to be something going on in the village.
How is it going?
Above all I want to thank the residents of Marsden for their support and for making me feel so welcome. We have been open over a year now so anyone who hasn’t been and had a look yet we sell babywear and accessories for all pockets so don’t be afraid to pop in for a browse or you can
follow us on Facebook or Instagram.
