Wine & Cheese
In 2022, Regan Green took over what was the former Kirkwood Hospice shop in Slaithwaite after spotting a gap in the market for a wine & cheese shop.
She transformed the space from a charity shop into a great venue, which has been a roaring success. Regan changes her menu every season and hosts weekly wine tastings, which have gone down a treat in the village.

A Great Success
What did you do before Wine?
I’ve always worked in the hospitality industry and my absolute passion in life is wine.
How long had you wanted to open Wine?
We had looked for a unit for sometime in Slaithwaite and we came across this shop on one of our daily walks into the village and loved the spot it was in.
Why did you want it to be in Slaithwaite?
We have lived in Slaithwaite for a few years and we love the community feel the village has and we knew we wanted our business here.
How did you find out about SB Homes?
SB is very well known around the Colne Valley so we already knew of SB Homes and the high reputation they hold, so we knew when we found the property we were in good hands.
How is working with SB Homes?
Nothing is too much hassle for them. If something needs sorting, it gets done.
How is it going?
We have been absolutely overwhelmed with the support from our amazing village. We have some exciting plans for the future.
